Want to be a volunteer? Requirements & Registration

Volunteers are needed both on and off the ice. Volunteers make up team staff (coaches, managers, trainers, etc.) as well as the MDHA executive (convenors, treasurer, secretary, etc.).

Individuals interested in a Bench Staff (Coach, Assistant Coach, Trainer) or Team Manager position must register through their Spordle Account. There is no fee.  You can access the registration store through this direct link: MDHA 2024-2025 Season Volunteer Registration or by navigating to the store after logging into your Spordle Account.

If you do not have a Spordle account and you are interested in volunteering, please contact the MDHA Registrar (registrar@metcalfejets.ca)

Individuals interested in an Executive Board Member position are invited to contact the MDHA president with their interest (president@metcalfejets.ca)

NOTE: all volunteers will be required to have or obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). Dependent on the volunteer position additional courses may be required. Course and VSC fees are re-imbursed.

The chart below can be used as a quick reference for volunteer requirements at the various positions.
