2024-2025 General House League Registration Information for All Ages

MDHA aims to provide individual aged 4 to 20 with an opportunity to play hockey in a fun and recreational way by teaching fair play, good sportsmanship, teamwork and the game of hockey.

U7 level players start early/mid-October and typically have one practice Saturday morning and one practice Sunday afternoon with the odd weekend off (league games are not played at this level).

U9 to U11 divisions start early/mid October with evaluations and balancing games.  U13-U18 start early October with their evaluations and balancing games and U21 starts early October with a practice (no balancing games).  From October to mid-March all divisions play regular season home & away games within the GHA (District 9), ending with Playoffs running from mid to late March.  The U21 division plays twenty (20) 1.5 hour long games.  Teams generally have one practice time per week and one league game per week.  Additional activities such as Tournaments, Exhibition Games, off-ice training, are discussed and decided upon by each team, parents and coaching staff, at the beginning of the season.

The registration process is different for returning players and new players.  Players moving from a different association also have different requirements.  Please refer to the 2023-2024 Season Registration webpage (coming soon) for details
