Health & Safety Overview

Player Safety Comes First

Player safety is a top priority for the Metcalfe District Hockey Association (MDHA).

MDHA is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive hockey environment for players, coaches, officials, volunteers and families. Our Health & Safety information supports concussion awareness, injury prevention, injury reporting, safe sport participation, emergency preparedness and participant well-being.

MDHA follows applicable requirements and guidance established by Hockey Canada, Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO), Gloucester Hockey Association (GHA) and Ontario's Rowan's Law.

MDHA considers an injury to include any hockey-related incident requiring assessment, support, treatment, monitoring or documentation, regardless of whether the participant immediately returns to play. See the Injury Reporting page for additional information and reporting expectations.
