Player Commitment

As an MDHA player, I commit to:

• Play hockey because I enjoy the game.
• Play by the rules and in the spirit of fair play.
• Represent MDHA and my team with respect and integrity.
• Demonstrate sportsmanship toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, volunteers and spectators.
• Respect officials and their authority.
• Refrain from inappropriate language, gestures, bullying, harassment and disrespectful behaviour.
• Take responsibility for my actions and control my conduct.
• Support my teammates and place teamwork above individual recognition.
• Follow applicable MDHA, GHA, HEO and Hockey Canada rules and policies.

I understand that failure to meet these expectations may result in disciplinary action.

Parent & Family Commitment

As a parent, guardian or family member, I commit to:

• Support my child's enjoyment and development in hockey.
• Promote respect, sportsmanship and fair play.
• Model positive behaviour.
• Respect officials, volunteers, coaches, players and spectators.
• Encourage participants to follow the rules and resolve conflict respectfully.
• Celebrate effort, teamwork, improvement and good sportsmanship.
• Never ridicule or verbally abuse any participant.
• Support team staff in creating a safe and positive environment.
• Communicate concerns respectfully through established MDHA processes.
• Ensure appropriate supervision of my minor child at team activities.
• Respect and appreciate the volunteers who make minor hockey possible.
• Follow applicable MDHA, GHA, HEO and Hockey Canada rules and policies.

I understand that failure to meet these expectations may result in restrictions, suspension of privileges or other action under applicable policies.
